These are my designs for the warm/cool color assignment. Obviously fire and flames benefit from warm colors since it is both realistic looking and literally warm in terms of temperature. Also, red serves as a warning, eye catching color that could warn of danger. The sea waves are a similar shape to the flames, but altering the color obviously gives and entirely different perception of the image. It projects cooler temperatures as well as a more serene peaceful feeling.

Photoshop, Assignment !
For this assignment I composited two images. The image of the car is as-shot (as far as I know) and I added this picture of the girl to the side of the car to make it look like she was painted on.

I achieved this effect by cutting out the girl and dragging her into the image of the car. I transformed her size and warped her perspective so she looked like she was painted onto the car door. I also applied a painting filter to her, and made other small adjustments like lowering her vibrance and saturation so she would seem a little washed out and less realistic. Lastly, I added a soft light layer which allowed me to burn and dodge various parts of the image to make it more visually appealing. The background was a little too bright and distracting so I burned in the cars, trees, and sky. I also dodged the top of the woman's head on the side of the car to follow the natural highlight that already existed.
